Bhimtal-Nainital-Ranikhet Tour
Day 1 — Delhi to Bhimtal: Into the Hills
Departure at 5:00 AM from Delhi (Kashmere Gate / Majnu ka Tilla / Anand Vihar) by AC Traveller Bus / Private Car.
Breakfast halt at 8:30 AM near Moradabad or Rampur — paratha, omelette, and chai at a highway dhaba.
Cross the Kaladhungi foothills and enter the Kumaon region — windows down, mountain air begins.
Arrive Bhimtal by 1:30 PM. Check into hotel / resort overlooking Bhimtal Lake.
Post lunch, visit Bhimtal Lake — enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the serene lake with an island aquarium at its centre.
Evening stroll around the lake. Visit the ancient Bhimeshwara Mahadev Temple on the lakeside.
Dinner at hotel with views of the surrounding hills. Overnight stay in Bhimtal.
Day 2 — Bhimtal Local Sightseeing: Lakes & Hidden Gems
Morning tea with panoramic hill views, followed by breakfast at hotel.
Visit Sat Tal (Seven Lakes) — a cluster of seven interconnected lakes surrounded by dense oak and pine forests. Boating available.
Proceed to Naukuchiatal (Nine-cornered Lake) — the deepest lake in the Kumaon region. Enjoy boating and the peaceful surroundings.
Lunch at a local café near Naukuchiatal.
Visit Bhimtal Aquarium (island-based — accessible by boat), one of the unique freshwater aquariums in Uttarakhand.
Evening free for leisure — walk along the lake, enjoy local snacks like bal mithai and singodi from roadside stalls.
Dinner at hotel. Overnight stay in Bhimtal.
Day 3 — Bhimtal to Nainital: Queen of the Hills
Breakfast at hotel and checkout by 9:00 AM. Drive to Nainital (approx. 22 km, 45 minutes).
Check into hotel in Nainital. Fresh up and head out for sightseeing.
Visit Naini Lake — take a peaceful shikara or rowboat ride on the famous emerald lake surrounded by seven hills.
Visit Naina Devi Temple on the northern shore of the lake — one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, deeply revered.
Post lunch, take the Cable Car (Ropeway) from Mallital to Snow View Point (2270 m) — stunning Himalayan views including Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Nanda Kot peaks on clear days.
Visit the Eco Cave Gardens — a network of interconnected natural caves, great for families and children.
Evening at The Mall Road — browse shops for Nainital candles, woollens, walnut wood handicrafts, and local jams.
Dinner at a Mall Road restaurant. Overnight stay in Nainital.
Day 4 — Nainital to Ranikhet: The Queen’s Meadow
Early breakfast and checkout by 8:00 AM. Drive to Ranikhet (approx. 60 km, 2 hours) through scenic winding mountain roads.
Check into hotel in Ranikhet. Surrounded by dense pine and deodar forests, the air here is crisp and deeply refreshing.
Visit Chaubatia Gardens — sprawling government orchards full of apple, peach, plum, and apricot trees with breathtaking Himalayan views in the backdrop.
Visit Jhula Devi Temple — an ancient Durga temple famous for its thousands of bells donated by devotees as offerings.
Post lunch, visit the Kumaon Regimental Centre Museum — a fascinating tribute to the valour of Kumaoni soldiers with war memorabilia and regimental history.
Visit Upat Golf Course — one of the highest golf courses in Asia at 1829 m, set amidst a pine forest. Open for walking and photography.
Evening at Ranikhet Market — pick up Kumaoni pickles, buransh (rhododendron) juice, handmade woolens, and local honey.
Dinner at hotel. Overnight stay in Ranikhet.
Day 5 — Ranikhet to Delhi: Back to the Plains
5:30 AM — Optional sunrise walk at Majkhali View Point (12 km from Ranikhet) for a golden Himalayan sunrise view — Trishul and Nanda Devi in all their glory.
Breakfast at hotel and checkout by 7:30 AM.
Board the Sidhu Tour & Travel AC Bus / Car by 8:00 AM. Begin the descent back to the plains.
Brief stop at Kaladhungi — visit the Jim Corbett Museum (home of the legendary naturalist Jim Corbett), a quick and enriching stop en route.
Lunch halt at 1:00 PM near Moradabad or Rampur at a highway restaurant.
Arrive Delhi at designated drop points (Kashmere Gate / Anand Vihar / Karol Bagh) by 7:00 PM.
Trip concludes with cool mountain winds still in your hair and the Himalayas in your heart. Jai Kumaon!
